For the office in Rotterdam area we are looking for an

                                             Export Employee Ocean Freight

As an Export employee you’re responsible for the timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export Department. You will work closely with your colleagues on the operations and sales department and will report directly to the Export Manager.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • The introduction of ocean data in the computer system and administrative preparations for all successor export activities where under Customs and transport activities:
  • Organize, plan, tend to and review of export orders and inventories;
  • Preparing export files, ensuring timely and accurate data entry into our the export system;
  • Verifying conformity of filed shipments, documentation and Customs (Sagitta output);
  • Following organization export standards and procedures, adhering to export regulations;
  • Daily contacts with customers and suppliers and other 3rd parties;
  • Negotiation of price levels and areas with shipping companies;
  • Telephone and email correspondence;
  • Accurate billing to the customers.

 

Qualifications/education required:

  • MBO+ education with a minimum of 3 years work experience ;
  • Work experience in Ocean freight is a must;
  • Knowledge within logistic processes, planning and transportation;
  • Knowledge of international law and regulations in the field of export;
  • High degree of independence;
  • Strongly customer orientated;
  • Good communication skills in the Dutch and English language both verbally and in writing;
  • Flexible working attitude;
  • High accuracy.
